R U Happy? This is a Test. Do You Honestly Want to Have a Happy Life?
When was the last time you asked yourself, R U Happy?
All too often we allow ourselves to pass through life without really stopping to see if we are happy. It's easy to do. With work, family, and social obligations time can pass by very quickly.
You may find yourself just swimming from one responsibility to the next without taking the time to see if you're happy with your life. This may only lead you down a road that ends with you looking back unsatisfied with your life. In order to avoid this you need to really stop and take an honest look at your life. Ask yourself, R U Happy?
When trying to assess if you are happy with where you are you need to do some thinking. First spend some time thinking about what you love to do. Give yourself the freedom to think about this with a fresh perspective. When we remember things we may have loved at one time, we still say that we love these things. Yet through the years they have lost their luster.
Think about what makes you smile, what you walk away feeling good about, and what provides you with a solid sense of accomplishment. Ask yourself, R U Happy? These are the things that make you happy. If you are not doing these things regularly in your day-to-day life then you are probably not living your life to the fullest.
It is easy to say that you should take time to do what you love, but it's hard to do. With the stresses and responsibilities that come with being an adult there is usually sacrifice. More often than not the things that we sacrifice are the things that we love. However, this can only hurt you.
Instead of having more time to do all of those things that you have to do you may find yourself wasting time because you feel resentment for those responsibilities. In order to avoid this you need to be sure that you give yourself permission to incorporate all those fulfilling activities into your routine. This will make you a happier and more productive person.
One of the most difficult things to do is recognize that you have the power to make yourself happy. When you are honestly looking at how you feel about your life and how happy you are you may find that you are unhappy with everything around you. When this happens you have to have the courage to face the facts.
If you have a problem with everything and everyone around you then the problem is you. While this is difficult to hear it should also be empowering because it means that you have the power to change your circumstances. In this situation you need to identify what it is that you need to adjust about your behavior and then you need to do it. Continually to ask yourself, R U Happy?
If you are able to do this, you and those around you will be happy with the results. Most importantly you will be actively engaged in your life rather than simply passing through as an inactive participant.
